Portugal 2026 - Day 77 - Tuesday May 19 2026 - Post Camino Day 11 - Porto Day 1

This day was a right off.  The camping location we painstakingly researched, booked and paid for in advance was still in pre season mode.  It' awesome camp store and restaurant were only open on weekends.  Even driving into the campsite we saw construction happening on the 2 pools in preparation for the summer peak.

Driving in and out of this place was super stressful with crazy skinny streets.  Faced with no fridge, and no decent local grocery store we bailed on camping.  I felt bad but seeing Porto from here was just not feasable.

I did not expect a refund but got one.  A quick Airbnb search in Porto revealed a great place discounted for a same day start.  Yay.  More on that later

Sorry we took no pics for this day.  We the pivot to a new location and parking a big car in a tiny place, I had no steeam for pics.  Plenty soon
