It was a nice day to get a Ferris wheel visit. We planned a 11:00 AM ish wheel visit just after the place opened. We had time then to walk to our BP Amazon pickup box to grab another item for us. I do feel bad using Amazon but we do need supplies and clothes for both our Malaga time and our Camino hike. I'm not interested in shopping all day so Amazon it was.
Once back from our pickup we headed down to the beachfront promenade and walked a short 500 Metres to the Ferris Wheel. It was pretty quiet for 11:15 with nobody on it. I suppose we were the first to get on. Lucky for us a different customer got on. They parked us at the top while they loaded on. Perhaps they do that for balance. Whatever the case it was a nice 2 or 3 minutes wait time listening to the wind and blasting off pictures. 4 complete rotations later we were back on solid ground. Not bad for 10 Euros each. We plan on doing this again in the dark. The city lights will be really nice.
We left Mike and Donna at the shops below the Ferris wheel to shop a little. It was a beautiful day to investigate the pier and grab some shots. It was a little windy on the pier. Although it was wide, the land side of the pier was a leg breaking distance fall. The sea side was bound by large rocks and man made concrete trishaped thingies. This pier was tough. Near the end of the pier were a bunch of parked sit down jet skis. I'm glad were are in low season and they are parked. These things are fun to be on but are obnoxiously loud for those on the beach.
Carl had setup an optional Sailboat tour for 5:00 PM today. We were to meet at the cows at 4:40 PM. The wind was quite strong this day so I was curious if the sail would be cancelled. It turned out to simply be a 1 hour boat ride under power only. It was really nice. The boat had already travelled around the world twice so we were pretty safe. A kind ship mate took orders for free drinks, later delivering them in a small paper cup. We talked with random guests, took pictures of the shoreline with a different perspective and enjoyed the sun. It was a really nice little tour before returning home for happy hour and another nice dinner.
Great day
