Jim and Anne, a fellow Senior tours traveller showed us 3 of his 4 Camino hikes. The French route looked drier and warmer than our planned North Route. We wanted to consider switching to the French Route but had no map book. We had a paper copy of the Village to Village Map Guide for Camino Del Norte. It's amazing. The possible rain and cold on this route made us think of a plan B to do the French Route.
The boy scout in me wanted to get the paper version of Camino Frances: St Jean – Santiago – Finisterre
Gemini provided 3 possible stores to check out. I also had a plan B to simply get the Kindle version.
Off to Malaga we went to find 3 really nice stores with many Spanish guides and books but understandable no English solution. I completely understand. We headed home and purchased the Kindle version.
Prepared with an electronic version we sat down with a plan to get to the French Route. I made sense to stick with our Irun to San Sebastian plan. We picked a specific number of nights stay providing a Train date that I could book. Trainline to the rescue to get to the French route. Pamplona appeared to be the popular French Route entry point for the coming from San Sebastian. Tickets were cheap and soon booked for April 10th.
Sorry no pics for this planning day
