Spain 2026 - Day 9 - March 12 2026 - Bus Tour to Gibralfaro and Malaga - Training Day 2 7.5K - Tooth Repair Day

I finally had my teeth X-Rays in hand.  It took a few day with my dentist with back and forth release emails lol. Last night, the dentist I was aiming for was closing in 5 minutes.  A quick Google search found Azuaga Clinica Dental https://clinicadentalazuaga.com/ was still open  .  I grabbed my busted tooth and X-rays available in Email. Desktop and USB key in hand to see if an appointment could be made.  Amazingly they squeezed me in for the next day.  This next day was today lol so I had to sacrifice the paid for Bus Tour to Gibralfaro and Malaga for a 1:30 PM appointment.  I'm not a fan of a busted tooth getting messed up with infection so it's a worthwhile sacrifice.  Michelle enjoyed the tour for us and provided pictures below.

1:30 PM is pretty far into the afternoon so I took the morning time to do a 3.5 KM one way hike. https://maps.app.goo.gl/bRoWyfcxzBYruWM18

The route took me out of the city and into some pretty steep roads.  It was a great training hike all the way up.  There were pretty sketchy switch back roads up there so you had to be on your toes to not get squished by a truck,  The trip back was obviously super easy being mostly down

I returned home with plenty of time and cleaned/prepared for my dentist visit.  They welcomed me with warm arms and were happy to see my laptop and X-rays.  It turned out my recovered broken tooth was not complete.  I piece was still amiss, boo.  The dentist hummed and hawed what to do and then took a chance with what she called a McIver.  I laughed so hard.  I had no idea of the impact of this show.  They built up the tooth and reattached the broken part.

It's not perfect.  I get it.  It just needs to last a few more months.  After thanking the dentist and hygienist, I was greeted with what I think was the owner.  She was so hesitant to charge me 120 for what she insisted was very very temporary.  I insisted that is was ok.  I had no long term expectations.  It was only to last our Camino I said.  Bam the Camino became a part of another conversation.  She had done one and her recollection brought tears to her eyes.  She wanted to do another and I insisted she stops wanting it and makes it happen.  Such a cool conversation.  I'm so happy to have solved my tooth issue.  Time to get get back to vacation.
